Hello World!

My name is Cali. I live in Nashville, TN, and I am learning how to code.

I didn’t know much about coding prior to starting at the Flatiron School this week. My experience in it was purely limited to customizing my Myspace page back in 2005.

The first time I thought about it as a career wasn’t until last year, but at that time I was (sort of) comfortable at my job working for a tech company in customer service. I had a few engineer friends, and I thought it was pretty cool that they were basically the back bones of the entire operation.

When Covid-19 hit, like millions of others I found myself without a job, and trying to figure out what I would do next. I guess this is my chance to take a leap and dive right into that thing I was so curious about. My story is not unique, but every journey is.

I am one week into this journey, and so far it’s all still a little confusing for me. It’s definitely as hard as I imagined it to be. I’ve swam around in the swamp of despair for hours at a time, and ridden the emotional rollercoaster round more times than i’d like to admit. But hey, that’s part of the fun.

I’m starting into my second week with a great attitude. I am eager to learn and share some of my new skills… as soon as I figure out what this error means….
